What's it cost to join the club now to be able to go to the Fair, and Fun Ford Weekend? I have not had much time lately but would like to do that.

Fun Ford I am not sure but for the club it is $45 which takes care of next year as well.

Are "support vehicles" allowed? I'd like to show up but I don't think the wife can stay all day. being that she's um well, we'll just call it "growing".

Due to school, I won't be able to attend this year (darn Saturday classes), but my 93 just might be there (if I can talk the daughter and son-in-law to going).

Hey guys, I'm checking in from the link that was posted on TALON. I'd like to attend if I get all my parts back from the paint shop in time. How do we get there and then inside? Tell them we are with the SVT club?

The location at the Fair Park is next to the Automobile building, you'll be parking in a grassy area called 'The Coral '. The entry gates are on west side . I was trieing to make a attachment to show a map area ( maybe somebody else knows how to do this) .

The entrance is off Parry Avenue. You should be able to see The Music Hall & The Texas Vietnam Veterans Memorial. Tell the Guard you are with SVT Texas. Maps & Directions are at http://www.bigtex.com

This is for SVT Texas Club Members only. I will have membership forms there. The dues required this time of year are $37.50 which pays for the rest 2006 & all of 2007.

I would assume that a Ford powered vehicle with a club member could come into the Corral. GGus or SaleenCobra are the final word on that.

Hey Tommy, you still plan on coming?

GGus invited us from TALON saying we were not required to become members to attend. So I'm kinda confused. If I'm going to have to pay 37.50 to become a member, it would be cheaper to goto the fair as normal and pay for parking and entry ticket

I think it was directed at me. I used to be pretty active and now with life running me, i go to the fair and a meeting once a year. I still like to keep up with people. I would imagine whatever you worked out with GGus is cool and just hasn't been communicated to the appropriate board members.

Yes I have invited the TALON Club to join us. Chris, you are welcome to come and no you are not required to pay a membership.

For directions, see the other thread in this section. I will be at the entrance gate with the parking passes to get everyone in.

So if James pays his dues can his wife drive a separate vehicle or not? There's not much drama elsewhere in this board to follow anymore, and the relative suspense is killing me.

Eh, it doesn't matter now. I figured the Lincoln would at least compete with the cobras since it has th same basic motor...and the '05 had a good showing last year. Dalton has 2 baseball games this weekend so I guess it's best if I don't go. Thanks Hitman for at least seeing the question.

Unfortunately, we can't stay until 6pm. We have indoor dogs that we will need to go home and let out. It will likely take about 1.5 hours to get there, so we'll need to leave around 3:30. 10 hours(7am-5pm) is about as long as we could expect to leave them.

James...sorry man, I was in Chicago all week and just now saw this. I was unable to go today due to two other conflicting events. While, I know it is too late I don't see why you could not have gone and I am sure Guy just overlooked your actual question.

If you did not make it, I hope you are having a great day.
