I'm talking about the 2 color trim panels on the right and left side of the car that border the rear seat and color match the door panels. I cannot seem to find any tips on touching up the coating. Plenty of how to's on completely refinishing them, except they do not need to be completely re-coated, just touched up in a couple of high wear spots. I have the Black/Tan (Saddle) panels and the Black coating is what needs to be touched up. I imagine this is a common maintenance item for these cars. I sure would appreciate any ideas before running out and purchasing anything.
Thank you
Gregory Craig

well is it leather or plastic or vinal? if plastic you can pick up some paint for it SAE makes some you can get it at a paint store... and as for any thing else you could do the same or just replace it.... i can't really think of any way to just touch it up...

It's the interior plastic Ford and probably all the car makers use for interior panels. Complete repainting isn't as simple as it sounds. The black coating on the rear trim panel matches the black trim on the driver and passenger side doors which flow into and match the black upper dash. The door panels are new old OEM door panels that must have been extras Ford is trying to dump as the clean out their warehouses. They are pristine and there is no need to do anything to them.
